Stachurski, Marian | 1959 | The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
This is a very special and rare 1959 poster designed by the legendary Polish poster artist Marian Stachurski for the US 1938 classic ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ (Przygody Tomka Sawyera). The film was directed by Norman Taurog and starred Tommy Kelly, Jackie Moran and Anne Gillis. Stachurski had such a wonderfully expressive and charming illustrative style - we adore his work.
Polish A1 size: 59.5 x 85 cm
Condition: the poster is in good condition and will frame beautifully, but it does show some marks of time. It was previously folded (which was a common way to store the posters) so the creases are visible and there is a little more wear and tear along these lines. If you are interested in linen backing the poster to eliminate the crease lines then we can help to arrange that.
