This rare and wonderful vintage Polish theatre poster for ‘The Wedding’ was designed by Adam Kilian. Kilian loved joyful bright colours and was a successful theatre and TV set designer as well as an artist and poster designer.
Kilian's mother was an art historian and theatre director who founded a puppet troupe. She had a strong interest in folk art and his aunt was a wood engraver. You can totally see how his love of traditional Polish folk art fed through his work too.
